What people hear: WOMEN SHOULD TAKE OVER EVERYTHING
Feminist: No no, not at all, we just want women to be seen and treated with the same respect men have.
What people hear: WE'RE ANTI-LGBTQ, ANTI-MEN
Feminist: Of course not, we also believe in equality for all, but just that.. you know.. stop with the double standards, hypocrisy, and treating women like dirt. I don't see why this couldn't all apply to the LGBTQ community as well. We're more than aware that they deserve a piece of the equality pie too.
What men hear: Women and the LGBTQ community deserve equality.. except for men, let's oppress straight men by acting as free and as liberated and as equally backed by society as they are... that'll show em.
Men: OWW STOP IT YOU'RE OPPRESSING ME AND IT HURTS
